Learn to spin with Canberra Spinners and Weavers!
Participants will learn the whole process from fibre technology, tools and equipment, different types of wool, preparing, spinning and plying fibres. Classes are relaxed and informal. Participants can hire a spinning wheel from Canberra Spinners and Weavers, or use their own wheel (if it is suitable).
Susan and Leigh, members of CSW, are expert spinners of many years.
There are two tutors to make sure everyone experiences individual, as well as group learning.
DATES: March 16, 23, 30 and April 6
Four Monday evenings starting at 7.00pm (2, 3, 3 and 3hrs)
TUITION: $205 (CSW members)/$240 (non members) (includes $10 materials)
EQUIPMENT: Spinning wheels can be hired @ $15 per month. The wheel comes with extra bobbins, Lazy Kate and Niddy Noddy.
You can bring your own wheel. To make sure it is suitable, please email a photo of the wheel to csw.workshops@gmail.com before classes start.
