Dyeing your own yarns/fibre is a great skill to have and adds a personal touch to your spinning, knitting and weaving projects. Join Helen Rippin (Bundanoon), professional dyer and creator of beautiful Waratah Fibres as she shares her unique dyeing methods.
Learn to dye your own yarns in a way that can be repeated. In the workshop you will work with Gaywool dyes, suitable for wool and silk. Participants will come away with great sample sets of repeatable colours, using 2 and 3 mixed colours. Participants will have the opportunity to paint a warp or skeins and fibre for spinning as well.
The workshop will comprise: Day one doing sample sets, 2 colour and 3 colour mixes. On day two participants will work on their sample sets and then dye their own fibre and yarn.
