Drop in days
Drop ins are an opportunity for members and those interested in joining to share their knowledge and make use of Canberra Spinners and Weavers resources. All textile making pursuits are welcome, such as weaving, tapestry, basketry, spinning, braiding, embroidery and knitting. We welcome new members and new makers.
Drop ins give us the opportunity to:
-
exchange ideas and experience in weaving, tapestry, basketry, spinning, knitting and other textile arts
-
show off latest creations,
-
assist each other with planning and design of projects,
-
discuss any problems you're having with a project,
-
spin a yarn,
-
use the CSW library,
-
make a warp using the CSW warping boards or warping mills,
-
use the CSW drum carder or hard carders to prepare fibre,
-
wind bobbins for boat shuttles,
-
wind skeins into balls using CSW swifts and ball winders,
-
pick up or return hired equipment, such as spinning wheels and looms,
-
share a cuppa or lunch,
-
have a chat!
