Retrospective Exhibition

On Saturday November 1 st at 2pm the Retrospective Exhibition: lynne johnson … she
who knits etc will be officially opened by Canberra arts advocate, writer and critic, Meredith
Hincliffe. Meredith has been involved with the arts in Canberra since 1977 when she joined

The exhibition will include knitted items along with some ‘etceteras’ including stitched and
crocheted pieces and items that highlight the interplay of stitching, knitting and crochet work
that have been features of Lynne’s work. Initially this was mainly in domestic, friendship and
community group spheres, later in wider fibre art circles as a tutor and writer under her
Women of Fibre label.
The Retrospective will continue through to November 14th . The opening hours are as
follows: Saturdays and Sundays 10am-4pm, Tuesdays to Fridays 10am-2pm, and closed
on Mondays.
