Introduction to weaving

Learn to weave with Canberra Spinners and Weavers! These classes will give you an introduction to the workings of the loom, preparing a warp, weaving four shaft weave structures and guidance to develop a project using the techniques learned.

Classes are relaxed and informal. Participants can hire a table loom from Canberra Spinners and Weavers to take home and weave independently in between sessions. You can use your own table loom if it is suitable but you must check with the tutor first as to its suitability for this class.

Looms can be hired from CSW for a period of 3 months at $35/month (with $100 refundable deposit) or you can use your own table loom if it is suitable (check with tutor first).
